Servers can receive a specific signal to access data for emails, website location, etc. Large organizations will have their own server rooms. Depending on the type of organization, they may use a server-hosing website, rather than maintaining their own servers. A server is a role that a computer takes. Any ordinary computer can be set up in a specific geographical location. Computers can share files to each other, but servers can share files to other servers connected to that same location’s network. Where you would install data on the computer is the same scenario as if you were to install data on a server. Desktop computers have their limitations with storage. They can only handle so much. On a server, it is storing on something called a cloud. The cloud has unlimited data. It is not going to run out or stop working.
